Silly question ... how to change your host

OK, here is a silly question, how do you change your host? I have a few sites and it will be much cheaper for me to host them at another host as they are all with various hosts right now. I have found a package that will give me unlimited hosting for 16 domain names and have sitebuilder in the control panel.

Please advise me of what to do here...

If your old and new hosts run cpanel, it just takes the push of a button from the new host to transfer you accounts to the new server, otherwise you have to ftp your files from old to new.

Check with the host that you first mentioned. It will be a good test of their customer service to see if they respond to your questions.

Change your domains dns servers to the new host. Quite simple,it will take at least 24-48 hours depending on who you're with.

I am specifically looking at the host I have in mind due to what they offer is unique and I need that, I don't know anything about transferring my sites to a new host,

Perhaps I will pay somebody to complete this process for me....

Is your current host on Cpanel ? Or is the one you have in mind a renowned host ?

I don't really think you will have problems shifting, unless you have a big database or such.

guess you are talking ix web hosting here. they are good host. i using them now.

ok, after signup ixwebhosting. you start to import all files and database, make exact copy of your site to IX. then change the nameserver of the domain to point to IX. thus done the job :)
