Hey guys, have you ever heard of the sikuli script? It can basically control any aspect of your computer. All you need for sikuli script to work is your computer's screen, the windows, and your mouse. It's the most basic "click and script" type of project. You can basically automate ANTHING you wish using this new sikuli script. It's simply amazing, and you should check it out! I created a blog post for this, so check it out if you're interested!

From the looks of your blog post you haven't even installed the software. In any event, I don't find it that useful because as far as I can tell you must manually type in variables; I would like to be able to use python code to obtain strings from other sources (websites).

I think that Siluli as a great tool. It can work with any python or 100% python rated microframework as far as I know. When used with some microframeworks like Flask (and of course your own python scripts), you could do some amazing things. I am playing a little with it and seems to have a lot of power, especially if you tackle it as a python microformat and not a simple winautomation or autotype replacement. You might want to give it a second thought. Actually view it as a software creation project with the correct cycling, and think big. GUI testers can make for a great prototype creator for some of us, and when we feel like it necessitates further coding, we learn. And with python being a 3 edit type language, compiled, live, and dormant, the flexibility and power seem perfect for the ambitious beginner, or old hat as well.
