SigStatus.com - Free Instant Messenger Status Signatures

SigStatus.com is a website which allows you to generate status images for four popular instant messengers (Yahoo Messenger, AIM, Skype and ICQ). Users don't have to register on the website; you basically just need to generate your signature.

Each signature is dynamically created, if there is a change in the status on one of the instant messengers the server will be notified and the changes will be made when the image is refreshed.

As you can see the code is provided for you in HTML format and in a BBCODE format.

The website itself is very efficient as at the moment the main scripts aren't connected to any databases and there is no need for bots (which may fail).

The website doesn't need much in the area of webspace or bandwidth, its just images being created dynamically.

As long as your server has PHP and the GD image library installed there will be no problems hosting it. I can rig it up to a database to record the searches and image views if you wanted, this wouldn't take me very long to sort out; just a bit of tweaking of the script.

The website has been running since the 2nd October 2006 and the domain is registered at NameCheap. I currently don't have traffic stats because of issues with the server, but I presume the site is receiving a couple hundred uniques a month.

I was going to develop this website further by accommodating more instant messenger programs and showing the status of the accounts in a variety of different ways, such as flash. However, because of some circumstances I'm forced to sell.

There is coding there for Jabber and MSN Messenger to be added, however I've been having a few problems with the MSN script so it isn't currently listed on the website.

I'm looking at getting around $250 for the site; however I'm open to offers.

Most reputable hosts have it installed, it's just the odd host that doesn't.

I noticed you tried to sell this site a while back and you were having problems with the MSN then. Can you elaborate on the MSN issue and what it might take for a prospective buyer to get it fixed?

I'm not trying to cause trouble, I like the site and I think you'll sell it this time, I just would like to see the MSN portion working before I personally bid on it.

Basically the user has to edit settings in their preferences for the script to work properly. I'm looking into some sort of bot to check the status.
