If the forum isn't strict about multiple accounts, sure!

    how do i do this?

i try to open the forum url in multiple windows but if i sign in as one user all windows are signed in as that user, then if a logout of one window to sign in as another user i will logout of all windows of that users

im guessing its tracked by IP or something, is there any software you can use?

It will depend on how the forum works but the majority of them will be based on a cookie and so the way round it is with different browsers.

IP is rarely used because all PCs on a network will show the same IP and so it is perfectly reasonable for multiple genuine users to have simultanious logins from the same IP. We can have all 10 of our guys on Facebook at the same time and all will have the same IP. A former employer had 20,000 employees which went through the same proxy and so in theory could have been the same IP.

It is really easy to catch this on a PHPbb forum, as the admin can see posts by IP address, and they can block an IP address if they abuse posting priveledges.

why do you want to talk with yourself?

if you are going to promote/advertise something, there is a high probability that the forum admin will notice it.

I run a forum too and a few guys have tried the trick on my forum.

as soon as I see something being recommended/suggested, I check details of the member doing it.....;).

If the forum doesn't check for multiple profile, you can do it... Just create many profile (with different shortcut on your desktop) and log to a different profile in each FF Profile... it's gonna be quick and easy

Most forums dont allow it. They have multiple ways to track it. Its particular with the forum software running. Basic detection tool is ip. Then cookies :)
