Signed up last night and I'm excited about this site...

I am 24 years old and I'm married with 4 kids (3 daughters and a baby boy). I have been interested in business since I was very young. I grew up in a family of self-operated business owners and learned a lot of what I know about business from my father. He purchased his first business and ran it himself over 30 years ago and has been working for himself ever since.

My life goal is to own and operate a highly successful business. I have tried several ideas over the last 7 years. Some didn't go anywhere, some saw minor success but weren't making enough money, and a couple of ideas have made me pretty good money.

I have owned several websites and still own a few. This has been the business venture with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows for me. At the time of this post I own and operate 5 different websites along with an eBay store.

I would say my first real business was partnering up with a good friend of mine and purchasing a booth at a local flea market about 2 years ago. We were both Sports Card collectors/enthusiasts and decided that we would see if we could make money with our Hobby. Quite unexpectedly, I made over $2,000 in a 2 month time period only working the business on weekends. Although this doesn't sound like much, this was a huge boost in my confidence and enthusiasm with this business. I sold my half of the business to my partner after four months of being in business due to time constraints with my work schedule and in the words of Don Corleone from the Godfather "He made me an offer I couldn't refuse."

So ever since then I've been investing my money in business ideas and ventures and have found some that were nothing more than a waste of time and money but I have found some good ventures along the way.

I found this site through Yahoo and have been very impressed with it so far. I hope to build a good relationship with everyone here and look forward to using these forums!

Thanks everyone for the welcome messages. I actually screwed up my intro a little, I am only 23, I'll be 24 in July. So much going on I can't remember how old I am anymore. Doesn't matter though, once you pass 21, you're just getting a year older . Yes, 4 kids this young is a handful but I wouldn't trade it for the world. It definately makes me strive to do better in business though because I have a lot of hungry stomachs to feed . Thanks again all and I can't wait till Saturday night so I can start taking full advantage of everything this forum has to offer.
