Signaure/avatar auction

I would like to (someday) have an auction to sell off my avatar space and my signature space. I'm wondering how many posts I would need before I could get a decent price?

I think I am still a long way off from having enough.

300-400 posts..Once you get that, some people might give you 10 for 3 months or something like that..

It's not the greatest to post with the intention of selling signature links :)

Make sure you post useful and valid information in the forum and you'll get higher quality buyers :)

Of course, 8. That's not my reason for posting. It's just a side benefit of hanging out at a forum like this! I was just wondering when I was going to be able to start making a profit from my sig.

I'm quite happy with the money that I am making from DP in other ways.

Yes! Reputation includes answering questions in other threads..

If 99% of your posts are in the general and underground section, your signature link will have very little value.

I've been working on that reputation thing... :( That's hard to get. I have 8 points because of one bad rep I received and one bad rep that I left. I'm trying to get it back up to 10 but seems like not very many people leave reps, or maybe I'm just not being helpful enough! :( Anyway, I am trying...

Reputation.. is not only about points but .. how helpful you are in the forums.. say...: if you're an expert in SEO, stick around that section of the site and answer some questions, offer some tips, etc.

you can actually get more depending on the quality of your posts, and your post per day average...

but yeah, i'd say at least 300-400 posts to have anyone really interested in buying your avatar/sig

If you have a lower post count (under 500) you could sell a package deal for a sig spot, avatar picture and location. Combine those three together and you could charge $5-10.

that's not for sure...there are plenty of people i've seen sell their links/avs with under 500 posts...much less 1000

It's tough though.. UNLESS the user with under 1000 posts has a very high daily post rate..
