Yes signature links still help a lot on yahoo and msn as someone said but not much for google.
It can get you PR too but depends also where most of your posts are, i.e if you mostly post in intro threads these will probably not have much value... I think it's a bit like for article directories where the links has more value when you post content related to your website. Don't know if am right on this one.

you don't use sig links for traffic, you use them for rankings!

Every link helps, so get as many of them as possible!

100000 links worth 0.0001 point is WAAAY better that 0 links worth 25,00000000000

    See what i'm saying?

And we all know that site operator works very good in G :)

Yahoo gives a lot more backlinks from forums and I believe them...

Too late to get any significant benefits in Google. :)

Up to September 2004, you could easily turn a whole string of sites into PR6's plus keyword rankings on signatures alone. Nowadays, not so likely at all. :)

I think that the links will help with most search engines, but not Google.

My site has come on leaps and bounds since joining forums, so the sig links must be doing something.

Exactly. The link and site commands are of limited use.

Signature links work well across all search engines, Google included.

Post alot in a variety of forums and you'd be suprised at what can be obtained....

Obviously you don't just rely on signature links. ;)

I rank pretty well for a competetive financial term with little more than sig links...
