I was wondering when is the best time of the day to create an auction of your signature space to get the maximum bids for it? Let's talk DP forum time as people are from all over the world.

    Tell us about your experiences.

Well, what I found is if I was to start it around this time or so, it's not the best time to do it. Anyone else had this experience?

The best time is when there's no other sig link sales on the front page of the Link Sales forum.

You can also scroll to the bottom of the pages to see how many members are on that page :)

There's no best time. Sometimes it's just luck.

Also consider this: If you start your sig. thread during the time of maximum activity, your thread will go to the second page quickly because everybody is starting a thread during that time. So, it's "# of member viewing your thread (GOOD)" against "# of members starting new threads (BAD)" :)

One more thing, you should pay attention to the number of members that are online. Consider this:

CASE1: Currently active users: 1500 (400 members and 1100 guests)
CASE2: Currently active users: 950 (500 members and 450 guests)

    Case2 is better. ;)

I also agree with Joe, sometimes (or most of the time) it's just luck... :)

I started my siggy thread yesterday, got several bids. Now, it's on the second page. Will I get more bids? Who knows...:)

Not sure about time but to get ur auction a lot of bids its better to start auction with low bidding price,in this way ur auction will get more bids also ur thread will remain on 1st page.

I hadn't actually considered that! Draw the punters in so they bump your thread - that's a good ploy. You've got to weigh it off against the possibility that you might get a crap price for your link.

Weekends are slower sometimes. If you want to sell sig links make sure to available most of the time and pm your bidders as much as possible of new updates.

I got my best bids when the auction were on pages from 5 - 20.

    Offer some other option.

Good buyers are more happy to get a proposal to pay for a year now. Why? it's getting out of control for those who have hundreds of running deals and they have to spend lots of time at the PP account.

I don't think there is no best time-what i do if it doesn't sell for what i'm asking than i will wait a couple days in try to sell it again. It depends on the right timing, and luck. I do know that midnight between 12:00am and 8:00 am central time is not a good time.

Its pure luck, I fell your pain..I see some of my threads go right to the bottom with not even one bid..And then other days I got a bid of $12 a month..Its all about making the thread at the right time, with the right title..

That was a nice experience though. Well i would suggest you to have some 4k posts before posting auction. That might help you with lots of funds.

It also depends upon the Luck ... who knows Big G is watching your thread. ;lol

I would think you should give it a few days so lots of potential bidders can see it. I would also iimagine the primne time to be when its the evning in the US. Then again, since this forum has such a global audience, you should give it enough time so its prime time elsewhere too. Luck also plays part in it. Sometimes you can get unexpectedly high amounts while unexpetedly lower than you expected at other times. Hope it works out for you.

Once you place your signature for auction for a few days, you would have covered the all possible forummers. So, no worries :)
