Signature Question

I just added a signature to my profile. I had thought that the signature would show up on all of my posts. So far it's only showing up on new posts. The posts I made before don't show the signature.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Is this just the way it is?

Is there a solution?

 

all the posts you made when you weren't allowed a signature,
will never show your signature. just the posts made after the
date you were able to have one.

 

So far the signature isn't showing up in the post I was watching.

I decided to look into Sawz comment.

According to the rules, the ability to use a signature becomes active after 10 posts. I passed that at least a day or so ago and the post I'm watching was made today. It was my 28th or 30th post.

From what I see the signature is only showing up on posts I've made after I added the signature. I even tried to edit the post to see if I could get the system to update the post. It didn't work.

I'm still waiting to see if it shows up, but out of curiosity I'm also looking at other ideas.

the signature will NOT show up on posts you made before reaching sig limit and enabled

 

Just don't worry about it. It's only a few posts.

The reason I was wondering about the signature is that I'd like to try something. Most people I've seen promoting things are doing it by a two step method. They start a topic and people that are interested either PM or post in the thread to receive a PM.

I'm interested in promoting Revolution Money Exchange. I've seen several other people promoting the program in the Freebies section.

I've made a post in Freebies and had considered editing it in order to simply point them to an affiliate link for RME in my signature. This is why I was concerned about my signature showing up in a post.

Now I'm thinking about simply starting a new topic since the first one seems to have fizzled. I only got one request for a PM and no sign ups.

I've been a member here for a while, but I've just started being an active member. I know that affiliate links aren't allowed in posts, but they are allowed in signatures.

I might as well just ask about this now rather than get caught with it later. Is my plan somehow against the rules? Would it be a bad idea to create a topic promoting the program and point people to the link in my signature?

I'm leaning heavily towards the idea that it's just not going to happen. Posts made before you have a sig simply don't show the sig.

 

Nope, they don't. Just checked my first posts, they don't have the sig.
