Signature post on blogs penalty??

I read somewhere that posting a ton on blogs with your anchor signature can harm you --- is there any validity to that?


What if I post on 1000's of blogs something like


Yes I really agree with this post, according to <a href="http://www.bluewidgets.com">Blue Widgets for sale</a> that this is very true.

 

No comment about this. I haven't seen any evidence that those links are harmful.

 

In fact, the postings bring me traffic, pretty good. So, I would say it is helpful actually.
