I've heard that Google may banned site that's been exploded with thousands of Signature links.. is this true? Do you think this is a good way of marketing? I'm not sure whether this is healthy for a site... :-/

I doubt it. I never heard of that, and I have had many sites with sig links. Restricting that is like restricting bathroom access.

Where did you hear this? If you have a link, I'm curious about it.

I would also like to hear where you have heard that. Signature links have been going for as long as forums have been around. I would like to see your source for this or is it just made up to get attention?

If it's true, then I'm changing all four of my sig links to Google Deep links :D

    _____________

If anything, then the links themselves would be discounted...but are already discounted on some level already. There is no change to my knowledge, and sig links are still a fantastic way to get the word out for a site (including getting it indexed).

Stop it! Everyone just stop it!
None of us have ever heard of this, and there is no documented proof, memo, or link, so calm down, before this ends up being a 19 page thread of rumour and speculation.
Man! If some of you guys played the stock market, you would jumping out of windows everytime your PDA battery went dead, thinking the market just crashed.

It didn't sound like something Google would do anyway. There are too many forums with sig links and it's been going on for ages. The most they would do is give no weighting for forum sigs, but as of yet, they haven't done that.

Some of my Google links are posts from this very forum, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

    What change?

There is no evidence that signatures negatively effect the outcome of SERP, Indexing, or PR of a site. So for all intents and purposes it is as it always was.
