Signature linkbuilding, what to do when forum disables signatures?

I've been making more than 100 posts on a forum.
No spam, really trying to add value.

But the site has a lot of spammers who don't add value.
So now the forum admin has disabled signatures.
Making me lose more than 100 good backlinks.

I've sent him a message trying to explain that there are a lot of people on the website with links in their signature, but they are still adding value.
And they will probably look for other websites to post, if the signatures stay disabled.
That will be a big loss for the website.

So I think he should give the people that add value to his site, their signatures back.

Is there any other way to convince him or get the links back?

Unfortunately not really.. you're at the mercy of the admin.

Make your avatar into an ad, and then put all your relevant links in the profile info...

That is a real tough blow man, although I would watch where you are putting your links in the future as a spammy site well have issues like that.
Now forums like this one, no problems!

Yeah, I'm at the mercy of the admin.
It's not like I'm getting traffic from that site. Just the strength of the backlinks. It sets me back a few places.

The site was not that spammy when I started posting there.
There were more people like me, coming there for the links.
But everybody did it in a good way. Making good comments, adding value.
But then came more and more people posting automated answers.
Some of them were even so stupid that they open a topic about their business. Totally unrelated. Just shameless advertisement.

If everybody just did their SEO in an honorable way.
Find a forum(s) that really has your interest. And add value. Don't post just for your links.
Then there was no need for admins to disable signatures etc.

I'm sorry to hear your problem. Djdestruction's idea is very eye opening. You might want to follow his suggestion by using your avatar as a banner. It might not help your backlinks but you will still get traffic assuming that the forum is very closely related to your niche.

I just found out I've lost 142 of my best links because of the site disabling sigs.
I didn't even know this site was sooo important for my backlinks.

One of my keywords went from 4th page to totally disappeared.

The admin didn't respond to my pm so I've sent him an e-mail.
If he doesn't respond to this or doesn't want to comply.
Then I will probably offer him some money to get my sig back.
    it's a yabb2 forum.

Is it possible to have my link on every page like with a normal website?

"Is there any other way to convince him or get the links back? "

    No.

The only thing that would change their minds is a dramatic loss of traffic to the website.

Boycott it if you are there only for links.
If you are after tips etc. keep interacting.
