Signature Link - Good or no?

I am a member of a forum site and have 5 K posts there . I want to put a signature link there to my new site.

Is this practice recommended?. Good or not? . All posts are indexed in major search engines.

i suggest you post your links in signature coz it works for me.

 

Will search engine bots see it as spam? It's a new site, if put signature link on the forum. The new site will have a surge of backlinks from the mentioned forum.

 

As long as you aren't spamming I wouldn't worry about a surge of back links pointing towards your site.

Signature's are a proof of your identity... If you use it to show what you do... then i guess it should not effect much... but as soon as u get down to spamming... things might get difficult for you...

Yes, definitely you should add your link to your signature.

Though, the main answer you will find is that it helps, and helps even more if the site you are on is related to the site you are linking too. Just remember that it's more then just your signature, as what you have to offer in posts can mean the difference between simply getting a few backlinks and actually getting relevant traffic. Contribute to the site you are posting on and your sig's ROI will be double then if you are just increasing your post count.

From what I heard thus far is to be sure it is targeted and you'll be fine. Irrelevant links just count a lot less...

 

Its beneficial. I am surprised sometimes by the amount of on some of my links. Usually on a great keyword or 2 - 3 word catchy phrase.
