    Hi.
Which terms do you think it's best to use on a website? Wich ones do you prefer?
I am creating a website but I'm a little lost. First I was thinking t use Sign In, Sign Up and Sign Out but now I think people sometimes don't know how to distinguish Sign In and Sign Up.
    Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry about it too much!

I think that Log in, Register & Log out are the most commonly used buttons.

    Hope that helps!

Sign Up is when you're creating a new account.

    Sign In = Log In

    Sign Out = Log Out

I now what each one mean. I just want to gatter some opinions and make a choice based on those opinions.
    But thanks anyway.

Don't you think the length of Access Account - Create Account is too large compared to the other options?

Another option would be what we have on our classifieds. There's a generic link at the top that says: My Account

When users click on the link it takes them to two options Log In and Sign Up For An Account

I think this is a common practice and most people are familiar with that.

I'd suggest doing a search for the top 3 largest websites in your niche and see what they use, then use the same. If they are all three using the same chances are they did research and you should benefit from that :)

Personally, I'd go with register, login, logout

You will want to keep it simple for both the member base and the prospects So I would use Sign in, Register, Log Out
