I was watching your auction with interest. No takers, huh?
I've tried on several occasions to sell mine for $40 per month per link, but all to no avail. Time was when buyers would have bitten my hand off to get it at that price!

    (anyone interested PM me)

I used to sell my signature links a lot quicker when I was around the 1000 posts mark. People are afraid to pay a lot for sig links these days.

It's a hard time to sell at DP.
Not only sigs but avatar and recent blog too, i'm trying to sell those and i feel it's almost giving...Such a low starting bid and no one bids.
There was time where my avatar worth a lot, now $10 looks like it's too much...:/

Signature links not only give you much needed traffic but backlinks as well. Not sure what is going on these days.

Maybe i'm wrong here, but I think people have found that SEO wise you are better off paying $40.00 for a high quality link elsewhere than in a sig link on a forum you are already active on. That is at least my outlook on it. I think it is probably most productive for those that aren't very active here maybe.

Let me ask. If someone has 10,000 post and you have your signiture linked into their sig does this mean you have 10,000 backlink post to your web site?

You might have a point there. With the recent unusual adjustments to the Google algo they might not have that much value. I think sig links are better used for targeted advertising - things like hosting, domain names etc.

Its for people inside the forum to see , not external randoms searching in google.

It is the directory industry, they are the one who buy sig link. Beside SEO they also got the exposure

Its quite obvious. When the whole link and avatar buying picked up people were just posting here to sell their sig link. Now there are too many sellers and not enough buyers. Hence the price dropping.

You are right, and now that the directory business has cooled down a bit, there aren't as many buyers, but the sellers have grown in number

You know it's crazy when some one sells their avatar for a way higher price than the signature market is going for!!!!!!!!!!! Then again, every one waz biding just to keep me from having her avatar spot!!! :D:D:D:D

Though I never had trouble selling my signature links. *hint*Link to your thread in your signature and some day some one that's interested will see it!!!*hint*

You know, the bidding did keep going up even after you dropped out. But you did bring a lot of publicity to the thread, and that helped out too... :D

My current sig link auction hasn't had a whole lot of bids either....

I only once had my sig link up for sale. Actually, someone was looking at buying sig links but didn't buy mine. It was actually under 500 though... guess thats why...

but.. I did give a my sig link away for FREE but only for 4 days.... got three on there... maybe I'll sell it in the future... but not at the moment...
