side wide reciprocal linking...

    Hi all,

I have a question about links. I'm a fishing rod builder and although I think I did a nice job with my website I'm no expert at all when it comes to SEO or anything so my question may sound a bit awkward I'm just trying to learn and wanted to know if it would be smart to try and set up reciprocal sidewide links. I mean offer a sidewide link on my site in exchange for a sidewide link on their site.

I was thinking of placing three links on my pages under "sponsored links" from sites that have a side wide link on theirs. I thought of finding sites from about the same size, page wise.

If this would benefit both I'm sure I can find other sites willing to exchange. I only want to know if this would benefit me and the linking partner.

    Thanks,
    Danny Heus

I would like to try and find three sites that would place a link on all their pages in return for the same in my pages.

would that harm or benefit us?

I'm talking about small sites btw as mine also only is a 40 page site

IMO I don't see the benefit of having a link that points to one page on your site, running through all the pages of another site.it seems a bit "spammy" to me..
