Do you like that michael moore talk about the weaknesses in the US health system? And this thread is not in P&R section so please dont speak politics.
i felt so sad for that lady who was at ground zero and has to pay out $130 a time for an inhaler she could get for 30c in cuba when she started crying it really got to me i was so angry you imagine what it feels like to get ripped off without even realising then get told about it. it makes you feel sick. Thats the American way though isnt it
I've heard that only foreigners get the "good" health treatment in Cuba. Moore does twist facts, but he still makes some very good points in this movie. The British and the French seem to be very happy with their health care, and there is an emphasis on prevention that might help keep the government's health care costs low. For instance, one British doctor said he gets bonuses for things like getting his patients to quit smoking. I like the idea of a merit-based reward system for doctors. That particular doctor only had a general family practice, but he still had no trouble making 6 figures a year, which is more than the average doctor in his position makes in the U.S. It just seems like the quality of life is better for so many in other western countries than in the United States.
I just watched it yesterday. So, another fact that the most americans just... stupid..(!?). 60000$ for a finger? Damn Jesus, who can pay it? And when Bush asks the women, how many jobs she had, and says, that three, Bush's reaction is only "Wooo, a Real American!" That's what's going on at the USA. They tell you, if you have 3 jobs, you are the great man. Keep working for small money, and pay a lot for insurance. It's a crap government. I'm glad to be in hungary.
I mean like all MM movies.. He takes a few facts, throws in a few conspiracy theories, mixes it up and bends it to suit his needs.. Im not saying its "all" lies but im sure his motivation is not just to expose the truth.. Only my opinion of course..
I dont know what his motivation is really. But it would be good to know what fact you think he twisted.
