I have a website that friends tell me is giving them trouble. One said:

I recently tried to go there from my laptop and my computer gave me a
warning message that there was something wrong with your site (a security
issue). I did not proceed. Then I tried again from a different
computer. When I went to your site it went OK without any messages. Your
site loaded but then after about 2 seconds I automatically got redirected
to some website about viruses and security threats. It kept trying to tell
me my computer wasn't safe unless I installed their program. I of course
    refused.

yes, my McAffee stopped me cold. ......serious violation

Any ideas? How do you find the problem? How do I run my antivirus on it? How do I clean it?

Should I give you the URL to see if you firnd the problem? thanks, Frank

Look at your site's source code (w/ browser's "view --> page source") and see if there is any strange <iframe> tags either at the very top... or the very bottom of your index page.

Thanks Scoopy for quick response. I tried to view the source code ( view->source) BTW i'm in xpPro. Guess what? It doesn't open. Is that something else happening or does it tell us something about the possible bad stuff on the site? tge site is www.GoodAccent.com Thanks for any help one and all.

I thought maybe the site got infected with one of those iframe injection hacks... but I don't see anything like that. My best guess after that is that maybe the problem is coming from a certain advertiser that is being displayed on your bottom leaderboard ad? Otherwise the site appears clean to me.

Thanks, glad to hear it but why do others get bombed out when they try to go to my site? Maybe it is the advertisers on the bottom but I doubt that. They are served from a legitimate source.

any idea why the source code doesn't open for me? This is probably another matter but I can't see the code of any site I surf to. Is this a setting somewhere? or is it related to the possible malware on my computer? thanks
