Actually i have start a website 2 weeks ago, from the begin to the end, i get the same traffic , no matter how hard i work it out, still get the same , 30 unique per day. Really wan give up, but lot people told me, STEADY, it need time to build traffic up, but some of the people say in their thread that they can do a huge traffic within a week, or some within a day.

A question will be appear on my mind , What is the different? What actually they did?

Quality Vs Quantity ------It may be the main reason for it

    Quantity
As i say before, i really do a hard job, i submit free 500 directories, 325 free article, Pay 300 to directories, Link exchange with 20+ PR 4 and 5, Digg, Stumble, Squidoo, What ever is free i have try it out,
but the output keep the same. No different, Really want give up,

But someone told me, no matter how perfect quantity that you make if no quality, if wont give you good traffic

    Quality
So, what actually refer to quality?
    Quality = Pay?
    Quality = Uniqueness?

    What quality refer to?
someone told me that quality mean you submit to high PR directories, article, or high PR link exchange,
but good thing wont come in free all the time, So you must pay to deserve it.
what i gonna ask is pay really give you ROI?
Pay 100 USD to gain a huge traffic really pay you back?
    how long would it take?

If someone really agree or disagree my opinion,
Please post your comment or suggestion, a poor man need your help, Please give a hand. Thanks. Really appreatiate if you willing to share something.

Quality is 2 things. Quality of your site and quality of links to your site.

Links to your site need to be from same type of site and have good rank. The more the better.

Fast easy traffic comes from social bookmarking sites but traffic does not always stay high. Some people get thousands of hits from social bookmark sites and some get hundreds for few days.

2 weeks working on a site is nothing. Work on good links from directories and other sites like yours. After a month or 2 site should pick up rank and get more traffic from search engines. You want search engine traffic the most. It is free and gets more visitors 24 hours a day.

It isn't easy, but if your content is interesting, getting it into the system will make it spread. Check the "freebies" forums for stumble/digg exchanges that will give you a jump start.
We've been working on it for about four months, have tried everything...traffic is the hardest part. There are lots of little gimmicks, but nothing that really pumps it up long-term...except SEO. Jury is still out on SU.

Try some seo tactics , keep on updating your site all the time. Social bookmarking and forums also help.

Sure...have tried nearly everything free and found that you get what you pay for. LOL
The only thing that actually brought in sales was massive MySpace adding...but I gave it up because the ROI was rotten in terms of time.
Right now I'm concentrating on viral bookmarking, on the theory that the content is good enough to spread itself. This has brought quick spurts of traffic without lasting benefit, so far.
My main lesson has been not to expect quick results, but create opportunities for them to occur. The only metric of success I can claim is we made enough to pay for hosting another year.

2 weeks and you're already thinking about giving up? I'm not sure where you got the idea that this was going to be easy. If you don't have the patience to run an online business, I suggest you stop wasting money and find something else to do.

If you're ready to give up after two weeks I suggest that you do.

No use doing something that makes you falter so quickly.

There is some limit of investments below which they are in vain.
    invest $100 - get $1 back
    invest $1000 - get $2 back
    invest $10000 - get $20000 back.
    It goes like this

2 weeks and 30 uniques a day is not bad, not bad at all. Get your site links, get social bookmarking, and you will see growth (if your site is actually worth anything).

Give it a few years of hard work... then see where you are at. Giving up after 2 weeks is not worth even trying... just like any business it takes years to build up credibility and establish a good site where folks not only want to come back to... but also refer friends to.

Think in terms of growth in percentages. So if in a year your traffic hasn't doubled (for instance), it might be time to give up. Personally I'm quite happy with the fact that my own, 8 year old, website seems to have constant traffic even with summer coming on. That means that likely I'll see a growth in traffic over the winter.
If you didn't know this yet: google doesn't like new sites. It takes a while for it to trust them. So that's not helping your visitors-numbers at all. Learn SEO, build quality content and links (at this stage building spam links may do you more harm then good) and BE PATIENT.

Patients is very important, nothing happens overnight. I have a couple of website business and I am seeing incredible traffic now after 3 years. In the beginning my business had hardly any sales but I kept on pushing. I would write an article each week and submit to article sites, post to directories, exchange links, post to blog, post to forums and exchange links with others. I did not rush the process I made a goal each week and I made sure I met the goal. Before you know it you are building links, page rank moves up and traffic starts, just keep going. The journey is the fun part.

30 uniques is good for a new website!
Yes, some people get loads really quickly but as you basically said, they're probably low "quality" visitors who stay on for 3 seconds or never come back!

    Good luck
