thanks for this great topic, because I have the exact same feeling. it pisses me off to see people spending so much time on Facebook, as if they have never had friends before. Easyyyyyyyyyyy there, it is not going away, you can have all you want, you don't have to sleep on it. And you know what, as much as we keep hearing more and more about Facebook in the news, it has already reached its peak and it is going down (not anytime soon) but it will fade. I keep seeing more and more people ditching it, and these are people who were so addicted to it. I guess that addicition is what burnt them. And did we forget or failed to realize that Facebook has been one of the biggest threats to webmasters? if you have failed to realize this, think abot it this way: for every hour spent on Facebook by a member of yours, that means an hour lost from your own website. I am going to write a new topic about this actually
Facebook is getting more popular each day. They have a bright prospect of continuing to grow more but in the end yes people will start to go away.
I rarely update my status on facebook, for me it`s wasting time, I have better option, learning SEO and online business. But I see many companies using FB to get more sales, that it proves you`ll get profit from FB if you know how and you`re willing to do it. But I`m not interested, until now..later may be.
i love facebook from a personal standpoint even more than a business stand point and that is saying ALOT with facebook i have a different groupings for "friends" this allows me to lump all the people from high school into one group. it is fun laughing at the people that thought they were cool back then that have finally realized they really do suck and their lives do as well
way too many options, buttons, distractions, and ugly interface. Wish someone would come up with something better and more valuable.
That is true... But I dont see most of my friends joining an IM forum since they have no interest in IM.
