Sick of Facebook!!!!

I don't know where people get the time to do all the social networking. I think it's great to keep track of real friends and keep in touch with family. But it's really just a page on the net for people who want to share tidbits without creating sites.

I've kind of thought for a while now that even though it's growing the point of diminishing returns is not too far off.

What is the next big social event?

People who hang out on Facebook are usually those playing those ?%!@# games, catching vampires and whatnot. I'd suppose we have better things to do, like you know, tweaking our SEO, link building, posting blog entries, commenting on blogs, guest posting ...

 

yes Facebook is left only for socially nothing productive thats why I started using eZdia a Social , Professional as well as freelancing site. just think of social networking as part of your business. It is a great way to network and to drive free traffic to your sites.

 

If you want to waste a large part of your precious time then facebook is one of the many options available today free of cost. (Exceptions are always there but they are rare)

 

There are many options available over internet to waste your time. Facebook is really one of them. I don't know how people get so much to remain connected with friends and still searching for new friends just like they are searching for some business opportunities. Its only good for those who have targeted social bookmarking sites as part of their site promotion.

Otherwise only happened here is,,,,, watching others pictures, playing games, etc.... just wastage of tym...

 

Agreed. I rarely ever go there anymore. Just feed RSS to it and that's about all.

 

when we have got most of our friend fb account then there's nothing interesting things left to do. Nowadays i'm receiving less notification, i think people are getting bored too, especially people who used to checked on it almost everyday. Its filled with narcistist people who like being a subject for comment.

 

I love it for marketing. I only use it personally to keep connected to people. That is the great thing, no e-mail or phone number updates. My wife uses it many times per day to talk to her friends.

 

I love Facebook because it has a lot of protection against spam accounts; most people are genuine.

Orkut is big in non-English speaking markets, but it is full of kids, just like My Space.

You can. You can completely customize your FB page. Many businesses are taking full advantage of custom FB pages to interact with consumers.

Doubtful. Twitter has less appeal, no functions, no customization options. It's a glorified IM platform and that is going to get pretty old pretty soon.

Exactly. There's over 200 million people on FB, who cares if it's boring for you, use it to your advantage to market and promote.

 

Not only is Facebook the hottest social networking website in the globe right now, they're on second spot in terms of traffic and probably may replace Google as the no.1 in the near future.

In my opinion Facebook is one of the best ways to Market your services hands down!. Where there is over 300,000,000+ people I am so there lol! If you manage to capture some people, it spreads very very fast in between their friends and makes it great to Market anything.

 

I agree with you henryzayas Facebook is good since it is the no 2 website nowadays, when it comes to traffic.

 

Personally it has become boring. Sometimes I don't even feel like logging in but for marketing it is still a decent platform if you can grow your friends list who you can target to market your products or opportunity and who are willing to buy or be a part of your opportunity.

 

now Facebook mostly use for business advertising......i also use it for my business...

 

FB is great. i dont know where you guys are from.
