I think your best bet over the long run is to try to deliver a site that 'adds value' - for example a site that provides information or a service that people are searching for but not getting - you can use a tool such as wordtracker to help identify the niches that are 'underserved' in this way - when you do this, you are sailing with the wind and are more likely to succeed IMO -

If you have good content and very basic SEO skills then everything else will fall into place. I used to hate hearing this advice back when I was earning nothing. Id try all sorts of advanced SEO tactics, trying to get my PR up etc.. Good content and well optimised ads is all you need. If you have good content you will get visitors, if you have visitors and well optimised ads then that will turn into money. Stop trying to reverse the polarity on the deflector dish and bounce the signal off venus and generate a tacheion wave which should raise your PR. Just write
If a person starting to earn $ a day, definitely he will set a targeted revenue which he can't do it....for me it's quiet a good income but for site that a year older, it's a small income...
Not sure how frauding the adwords/adsense system would help at all. I mean sure, in the beginning it would seem nice. Bigger cheque (well physically the same size, just with more digits.) and your account looks healthier.That is of course until the big G come down on your ass, take away your adsense account. Then that $4 dollar a day is gone. and your back to $0. I think many of the correct and best answers can already be found in this thread. Just my 2 cents worth. DK
$4.00 a day is decent. Better than what I make. I agree with lynsis, make 100 sites that make $4.00 a day. I average about $1.50 a day from 2 sites and that makes me happy because 6 months ago my average was $.20 a day so I have progressed.
let me tell you: $4 x day sucks! big time. i was there. I thought was good. I thought I just had to multiply it for 100 and I was going to be good. WRONG! Multiplying isn't that easy, and with $4 a day I can pay just my coffee... Until one day I had the luck to find the right niche at the right moment and now I'm making sometimes $XXX per day. Don't ask me how, I couldn't tell you more that what you can already find on this forum or wickedfire. And i'm not writing this post to make you feel worst, but to tell you that you need to keep trying. Keep looking around and try stuff. don't copycat what other people tell you to do cause as you do it other 1000 people is doing it and you don't wanna swim in the competition. look for a niche with a good demand and poor answer, forget adsense, that's good only if you have thousands of access...
You are looking for unique visitors in terms of adsense revenue. Who is going to come back to your site and click on more ads? Not me, if I clicked through your site to begin with it probably wasn't informative enough. $4 a day is not an awful start but there are people out there making $10k per day with adsense. The real idea here is to perfect CTR through layout and lots of organic traffic through original content. I'm up to $100/day with adsense and it is finally paying off after years of research. I am also constantly adapting bc google's algorithms change all the time. This is only one income stream, branch out and take advantage of the rest of the internet's revenue possibilities. This is the point where you would have to pay me for more words to come out...
Advertise. Advertise. Jesus Christ.. Google Search Engine is not the answer to everything. If your making 4000 a month with Google Adsense. Im sure you could get private advertisers and make 10,000 a month...
