Shutter Island

Just finished watching Shutter Island, if any of you haven't I'm not sure whether I'd recommend it or recommend you shy away - it's extremely odd and creepy at the same time.

It's very hard to understand, the only downfall was how long it was; I sort of like how it was unclear.

Still, it was weird haha :D

    Who else has seen it?

That movie was awesome I thought. Confusing yes but was good because it made you constantly think. I like the beginning part when he arrived and had that creepy old women who was raking :)

Well, I guess the movie best describe its genre, "American psychological thriller film". Although it's pretty hard to accept the fact that everything throughout the movie was nothing more than psychic imagination, coming up with such a story is truly appreciable. For me, it was not that weird. :)

Not seen Shutter Island, but watched Inception recently. That was good, if a little similar to the Matrix in places.

It was very clear and easy to understand. Sure it kept you guessing throughout the movie, but that is the premise of a good movie, is it not? It was a brilliant movie, not "odd" or "creepy" at all. You need to be extremely slow not to understand that what the doctors were trying to instill in his mind at the end was bull and that he in fact was not crazy. He chose to "die a good man" instead of choosing to "live as a monster". Fantastic film.

Just watched the trailer, not my cup of tea. It's too heavy for me but maybe will consider if no movie left to watch.

Good movie, if you can, see it again, it will bring you different feeling. Just like Fight Club, too many things need time to figure out, so just saw one time isn't enough.

Shutter Island was a new year gift in 2009 and was a superb movie of the time. Drama, thriller and Mystery were well knitted in this movie and I think there should be another flick like it at coming year. Leonardo DiCaprio again appeared mind blowing in this movie as we always expect.

I think it was quite nice flick. The only thing i didn't like in the movie was, it was looking like a 60's or 80's typo movies.

I saw it. But if when I saw it, it was actually the early 90s and The Sixth Sense hadn't come out, I would have walked out of the theatre with my frown upside down, shouting: "That was so original!" Sadly, there were frowns and there certainly wasn't any originality.

    Really disappointed. But beautiful cinematography.
