Hello all, I will soon be launching a small and simple website which provides a URL shortening service. There are no adverts, no delays or anything else like that during redirection - just a simple 301 redirect to the destination URL. There are no usage limits or anything like that - just a simple, to the point URL shortening service. API is on its way too so this can easily be integrated into any third party apps. I would very much appreciate it if you guys could give it a little test run - throw in some URL's and tell me what you think. Shrten - Short URL service All comments and suggestions welcome. Regards Michael
Very simple, I think you could improve the middle box and add some advertisements, the background colour is ok
I tested it with some sites and it worked, but when I tried my affiliate link for MoreNiche: http://www.moreniche.com/join.html?w=129209&ttp=3 Code (markup): it said: Your URL seems to be invalid! This can be fixed i guess, otherwise very simple service - I like it. P.S. Ok, I just found another issue: I tried to redirect www.google.com and it gave me the link: http://shrten.com/8 which redirected me to http://shrten.com/www.google.com instead of www.google.com and said: No such URL
Maybe better if you add a little color. The theme looks a bit sad and too plain. The service is good though but I tried this link: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/search.php?searchid=16736204 and it said "URL seems invalid". Try to check this out. Thanks.
Thanks for the comments @ croftdog09 - I have no intention of adding any advertising to it, especially not on the front page. @ blichev - Thanks for pointing those out, I'll have them fixed asap @ aphrodite - I'll probably bring in some colour with a nice little logo Thanks - keep them coming! Edit: I think I've fixed up those problems - they seem to be working fine now. Keep testing people
Good domain name.. I like it.. and very simple and clean.. but, try to add a brandable logo to your site.. or increase the font size of Shrten.
just awesome, loved the simplicity of the design which is very helpful and fully functional Good work, keep it up.
@ Bear Grylls - Yeah, the logo is probably going to be the next step... then the API. @ champroz - Thanks Anyone know any good logo designers who might be willing to give the logo a go? Keep bringing the comments, they're really helpful
Thanks Would anyone be interested in doing some beta testing for the upcoming API? Check here: http://shrten.com/i
I have tested my site- htttp://www.reviewpenisdevice.com/. But it said:''Your URL seems to be invalid!'' I don't understand why is this happening.
