Showing copyrighted material in private site?

Many people do it, they take pictures off the internet and post it. This is considered illegal because the photos are copyrighted. And technically one can be sued.

What if the site is private. Only those with logins can come in and view the pictures. Will that legal since I am not showing it to the public?

 

No. You need to permission of the copyright holder to do this.
