Showing Adsense in the Most Recent Post Only

Is there a way to place adsense directly in a post without using a special plugin? I tried a bunch of ways but it does not show.

Have you tried disabling the WYSIWYG bar? That should allow you to place the code. If not, you might have to stick with a plugin for it.

 

I imagine Showing Adsense in the Most Recent Post Only would be done via a template modification?

 

As markn26 said, you need to disable WYSIWYG first to put the code, but I would say it's better to use plugin, so the ad code isn't messed with your post.

it can, but not in the post content.

 

If not plugin, you need to enter the JS code in your template file..

 

I tried it this way but it didn't work.

Which and where in the template file would you try?

I also saw a plugin that I might try out.
