showing a facebook video on your site?

Hi I was wondering if it is legal to embed a facebook video to your website if the video is not your own. For example we did work for a tv show and are shown in the show, the show posted a public video on their facebook page, can I use that video on my own website. I thought the rule of thumb was that if you post a public video to facebook it is fair game. You couldn't stop somebody from posting it to their profile so what would be the difference. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The difference is that when you post a video to Facebook you are granting Facebook/their users certain rights, not giving your website rights. You need express permission.

You'd better ask the content owner for embedding permission.
