'Showcase' style template/ plugin for Wordpress?

    I am looking to build a 'showcase' style site (cssmania.com, cssartillery.com, etc...) with Wordpress as the CMS. I have been looking for a template or plugin to use as a starting point but have not been able to find anything. Do you know of anything that might help?

    Cssartillery looks partly like a very customized version of Arthemia (http://colorlabsproject.com/) (but that's not a free theme -- US$70 single site licence)
