Here is our lens, http://www.squidoo.com/tucsonseosolutions, I spent about two weeks working on and off on this lens. It got as high as the top 10%. During that time we had six visitors! Over the last couple of months we had many a dozen visitors. So with minimal ROI we moved on. It was a fun experience but fun doesn't pay the bills.

 

All my best lenses, i made for other people . A few second rate lenses are all i have left.

One day i had a brilliant idea. Madonna was going to release her new album, one month from that date. If i made a lens on it, thousands of madonna fans would visit my lens and buy the album through my lens and i'd get rich.

So did this great idea work out ?

Of course google didn't care about the lens [wonder why ].
A few people came from digg, but nothing much.
The timing was right, everything else was wrong.

Who are you asking? But yes, all of my lenses have been worth the effort. They are bringing some nice extra traffic to my blog, and providing some backlinks. And the squidoo payouts are a nice bonus as well.

 

My Top Lens has been in the top 100 for quite awhile now and it is currently lensrank 22. It fluctuates though, but it rarely drops out of the Top 100. I didn't actually set it up for the purposes of making money, but it does make sale and half goes to charity.

That's a great lens. I have found that SquidWho lenses can be fun to create. I created a bunch of new ones recently about some of the people I admire. And some cool science fiction characters.

 

It came as quite a surprise to me today but 7 of the Top Ten lenses at Squidoo are mine.
