Show us Your Best Squidoo Lens

I've got like 4 lenses and I haven't gotten but about 7 views total!! And I have followed a lot of advice about creating backlinks, adding features lenses, setting up many tags... And no avail, and I'm surprised, because Google loves Squidoo, my Hubpages have gotten much more views, like 75 or so...

Any advice?

There's probably a few things that you should do.

Take part in the SquidU forums (the official Squidoo forums) and ask for critiques, read the posts, ask questions, etc.

Add your lenses to the various Squidoo-friendly directories

Ping your lenses after doing updates

Take part in other social bookmarking/networking sites, such as StumbleUpon, Tagfoot, Digg, Twitter, etc.

Make sure you add plenty of original, interesting content to your lenses.

Leave thoughtful comments on other people's lenses.

Add your lenses to relevant Squidoo groups.

There's much more you could do. It all adds up.

Please don't tell me how badly they suck, I already know. I do find the entire Squidoo experience rather enjoyable, it's a great system.

 

You are off to a good start! I think the Flickr and YouTube modules really help add life to a lens. I have both of them on almost every lens I create. They are easy to add, and make a lens a lot more fun, IMHO.

http://www.squidoo.com/Online-Sports-Betting-Tips is my oldest lens (a little over a year), but it's not currently getting most traffic. It is, though, the lens from which I've made the most money (about 7 ClickBank commissions totaling just over $300).

 

I have only one lens on Squidoo regarding latest technology and recent inventions.ight now its at about 40th place in its category and getting around 80 visitors per day...but no earnings. Any feedback is appreciated.

Great lens, took me quite a while to scroll to the end and read a bit here and there. I'm far from an expert in the field, but it seems obvious why your lens would be popular, and why you're not making any money from it, as yet. It's popular - and gets good ratings - because it's interesting; it doesn't make money because it's not particularly focused on a problem (the reason why many people buy information products and affiliates earn commissions), and your areas of monetization - the Amazon modules - are all part of a landscape of interesting pictures and content.
