Hi, I think I am posting this in the right place, but if not, maybe an admin could move it... I have a food blog which hosts recipes... my target is to have 2000ish in the next 6 months and I am up at 200ish now (20 days old site). I want to show a fixed number of posts per category per widget. At the moment, I am using JS to do this. However, from SEO perspective, My homepage value would be buried when Google cannot read any of it. What I would like is an alternative which Google bots can read, understand and follow. If you checkout my blog from my signature, you would see the homepage has 12 widgets (6 on main area, 2 in left sidebar and 4 in footer). These are all JS based and although you would see hyperlinks to posts when you hover, the sourcecode will show a bunch of JS. An alternative would be nice so my homepage ranks well when Google decides to move it out of sandbox (assuming since I only rank well on long tail). Any suggestions would be more than welcome. Thanks! Phoenix
So you want a categories widget which google can read? From my understanding Google can read some Javascript now. But prob. better to change it, I don't know of any but you could try Googling "seo friendly category widget" or something similar. Sorry that's probably not much help, but it's a start. Unless I'm misunderstanding the question..lol. Good luck
