Does anyone use the "Show non-Google ads from another URL" in Google Adsense, I guess it's better than PSA ads and there is some revenue to be made...but how much and is it of value?
This feature allows you to display whatever you want, either ads from another network, or your own directly sold ads, or some other content. If you enable this feature, AdSense won't display anything for you. You have to create a webpage that will fit inside your AdSense creative size IFRAME, and this webpage contains whatever ad(s) you want. I've used this before but it's not really worth the while. It's only worth doing if you're getting an awful lot of PSAs, like 50% of your impressions. However, if you're getting that many PSAs, what you really need to do is find a way to reduce the percentage of PSAs, or just dump AdSense for another network.
Thanks, you don't have to create an Iframe BTW - just link to a html or php page is better, as you can rotate ads. I think PSA ads show up for content which is not so well known and advertisers haven't bid on the keywords yet. I just wanted to know if anyone has any stats which show the general % of PSA ads to live ads...
I didn't say you have to create an IFRAME. I said that you have to create a webpage, that fit inside the AdSense IFRAME. The AdSense creative is already an IFRAME. Therefore, you have to make sure your webpage will display within that IFRAME.
