Seriously! Marketing forums are divided between people who say "I worked my butt off and made $4 after three months and people who say "I make $1000 a day" It does not seem to be a straight line where people say "I made $1 after a month, $10 after two months, $100 after three months and $1000 after four months. So how do you $1000 a week or day people do it? Is it Adwords or do you have long established "white hat" sites?
Rule#1 - Don't believe what you read .. no one admits that they have failed. Rule#2 - It takes time to develop your forum / sites, nothing comes overnight so every one has indeed slogged to get to the level they are currently at.
Only the really big sites make that kind of money through seo traffic, and even then, it isn't consistent. In just about all cases out there, search engine traffic is on the bottom of the barrel when it comes to making money. If you hear different, they are either trying to sell you something, or be somebody on a message board or blog. "Hey, look at me" type of shit. Those are the ones who do free methods, combined with not really trying, and or they are incredibly stupid. Like the ones on this board. Those are the ones who have a brain. They try everyday, combined with advertising, until they reach that mark. But it is usually that much a week. It takes quite awhile to do that per day.

Many people are lairs . If they said they earn a lot more than $100 daily , there is %90 possibility that they are faking screen shots . on the other hand people who say that they don't earn nothing or small amount , they are trying to make less competition .
even if you know how people make money, it is not easy to imitate their efforts or know-how. also, longevity is a big factor because there are always highs and lows along the way. another point is to invest your time building a business that can't be taken right out from under you-- ie. anything that involves gray areas or illegal actions or other tactics will end in disaster.
Yah I wish I kept open the three sites I had open back in the late 90s. Hits were easy to come by back then (we were so dumb we took it for granted)
countless articles written well past 3:00 a:m and many hours spent learning and making friends on forums
I started online 4 years ago and own 5 major sites that I actually sell stuff off of (I own more but they are not my major ones). So my sites have been around years, and they have tons of back links, and have just built up over the years. I started off VERY small doing article marketing, and free/paid classifieds. I invested EVERY penny I made back into A.) Learning how to market buying things like e-books, videos etc.. B.) More advertising. Once I had money I then opened up a Google Adwords account. From that point on I started to build a email list, and only focused my adwords on very targeted traffic. I worked long hours every day to get my sites off the ground and running. 4 years later I'm happy I did all the above. It just takes time, and commitment. If you want to make good money help others, and they will not forget you.
People need to boast and lie to exaggerate their visitors so as to buy their products... just part of advertising... I know when someone tells the truth of lie, especially here at DP.
