Show addresses or not to show addresses?

I've seen some sites that match the color of their background to match the color of the web addresses. Essentially the google ads only show the Title with a brief description underneath.

First of all: Is this legal?

Second of all: For anyone who has tried experimenting, have you noticed a difference? Or are your results the same?

you're wrong, they don't hide the url. It's some formats such as the small ones 60 pixels height which don't have the url, and some others too.

If you set the color of the url the same as the background it simply doesn't work, adsense automatically sets it to a visible color, TRY IT!

Some formats are different. I thought my code was broken when the url's didn't show up but some of the smaller ones don't show the url
