now my account is deleted No such user. and just in case i forgot it here's thier password reminder page http://www.shoutwire.com/forgotpassword it doesnt work. it redirects to thier home page.
this place is a scam, it is my guess that the majority of the articles that hit front page have jsut been made by people that are affiliated with or run shoutwire. they prolly add shouts to their posts... bah..
you're only saying that because you weren't able to have shoutwire work the way that you wanted it to.
I do find it odd that all my shouts were removed and my account was deleted. my shouts were news or pr's and have been accepted on digg and many other sites. o well that was a waste of a few hrs work.. and helping others.
svz, your wrong, i wasnt sure how it was going to work at all, i have never submitted to a site like it, nor digg or anythign else. i went into this with zero expectations. svz your jsut happy casue for some lame reason people give a damn about stupid celebs. when it comes down to it your spamming your blog jsut the same as anyone else. your profiting due to the traffic from shoutwire. other wise theres no reason you would do it, correct? anyways... this is the reply i got from my email from them "Shoutwire has several admins that determine if the content posted is spam or advertising other blog/forums. Your post may have been in that area." 80% of the posts on that place point to a blog, forum, or a news site. most is spam. most is content borrowed from somewhere else. shoutwire is just a spam whorehouse when you think about it. so what if the spam is targetting a celeb which is going to make more money in the long run because of the exposure, or if its to a free titanium ring giveaway, or a damn ROM update for a ipaq.
Ok I'm giving it a try. I'm making myself busy shouting everybody from page 1 to page 6 (reading them first though). Please shout mine (GENERAL LIFESTYLE) if you like: http://www.shoutwire.com/profile/miko67/submitted Thank you very much
No no, I'm there! Still. The system seems to be a bit unstable though. I succesfully submitted two articles and shouted both of them. Day after one was missing (deleted I take it) but the first one is still there.
Yeah, maybe they don't like DP members. Whoops, now they'll get me... http://www.shoutwire.com/profile/techlh/submitted
hah... now they deleted my account but have left my news! and yeah be careful techlh, they may not think chitka is worthy news
Thx for shouting , to bad it's not on the frontpage again. But I had a nice load of visitors, around 11000.
i am pretty sure they are keeping track of the dp referal.... keep in mind this shoutwire is smalltime... nothing like digg
No doubt they're like tracking referrals. Shoutwire is much smaller compared to Digg, but good for non-tech articles as Diggs isn't suppose to allow entertainment articles unless industry or tech-related. ShoutW will likely have a huge PR jump here in the next week or so when the TBPR goes through. Also, the fact that getting on the front page of Shout also gets on the front page of TorrentSpy is a nice little coupe. I do have a little heartburn with Shout recently though as they've blanketedly removed blog articles off the front page. Jat - got you a shout; looks like you're only up to 5 right now, hope it picks up. (BTW - I have a client site I do for a yoga instructor ) »Please shout my Black Dahlia story«
