I didn't know where to post this, so please excuse me if this is the wrong section. I am very angry at the moment. I have a blog that i post about (funny, interesting, music) videos. Following article is about my site and posts i submit to shoutwire. "Since the launch of Tubepicks.com, i submitted a lot of videos to a lot of social bookmarking sites, mostly digg and shoutwire. Thankfully, they provided a lot of visitors. While submitting, i followed certain guidelines to not to be a spammer. Like; if the story is already submitted, i never submit the story, unless i have provided a certainly different view on the video. Of course i made some mistakes, and i am really sorry for them. I always thought that as long as i follow those guidelines, no problems will occur. I am proved wrong. Today, when i was checking the stories i submitted to Shoutwire, i realized that target URLs of all my stories has changed! Now, some of you may say that i do not host those videos, so it’s alright for them to change the url to the original video site. They have redirected those stories to a single video site, that i have never ever embedded anything from! I swear, i wouldn’t say a word if they had redirected the stories to YouTube or Break which i mostly embed from. Because of this unethical practices, i will never ever submit a single story to shoutwire, and i invite everybody to do the same. Because someday you can find your stories redirected to some other site." --Link To The Article Note: I usually do not promote my sites here in Digital Point except signature links. I am really sorry about posting an article from my blog here, but i really need to spread the word about shoutwire.
that sucks.. really wonder whats up with it have you contacted them? i would still use them if i was you.. shoutwire traffic is better than none
Thank you for your support. I didn't contact them, and i won't. They should contact me before changing urls. (And i wouldn't allow them to change unless new link is to the original video site i used.)
Update: It appears that the site they changed my urls with is one of their official partner sites. (They are sharing same forum).
Shoutwire is one big incestous cesspool with all the affiliated sites. It is not the least bit suprising.
