Hi I read many posts, many bad reviews about shoutserv. I also lost my $100 because of shoutserv, their master reseller one time plan. My friend lost $50. and his friend also lost $50 , Shoutserv hosted our sites for 3 weeks and then removed without any reasons. Ash did not give us refund. We asked many times, but ash blocked us in msn. shoutserv are not scammers they just had a business that failed and made some bad choices but thats just my opinion, I never was hosted by them so i don't know.
Sorry but business incompetence resulting in you being unable to provide service and not refunding for the amount of service not supplied would make you a scammer in my books.
am i missing something, i have heard so many bad opinions on shoutserv has anyone seriously had bad experiences with them or is it the same crap that happened to hostparlor where people make us stuff.
They went down alot, I had a reseller with them and it went down 3 times a day randomly usually, and they denied it when I asked them.
Down all the time.. All I had at the time was a "coming soon" page and 1 week after purchase they shut me down saying illegal content and that there rent-a-cop was going to file charges.. I laughed in there face and never seen them again.
I do agree with that some but its not like they had the intention to scam people. They just had a bad business plan and bad company all together. I do hate ASh to an extent because i sold him my company UnlimitedHoster and he deleted and suspended several peoples accounts that were lifetime hosting ones which caused them to do chargebacks against me. But it was my fault half because i gave people lifetime hosting. But that is all over with and I intend to run a new hosting company that will be 100% reliable and completely different then UnlimitedHoster was.
Just like how you said unlimitedhoster was going to be different when you did it after you got questioned why it closed before. Save people the trouble and don't do it again unless you have a large investment so you can actually afford to run a company.
Well you don't really need a large investment to start a company, just a decent server and a well made business plan, you see everyone starts off small and then gets bigger and thats how my new company will be. We may oversell like so many do today but we will make sure our clients get what we promised them. This company will be different because unlike unlimitedhoster it will have other staff members besides me and we won't be giving one time fee plans as they are what killed unlimited hoster.
Does SAVVIS have their datacenters addresses listed, does Equinix, does PlanetOne, does ThePlanet? No. Why, its a security issue. I am not defending ShoutServ, I brought an account and never got the details for it so I organised a DDoS on the server... They where down for 3 weeks. I now use MyVipHosting.com, not having any issues with my Master Reseller. so far 100% uptime over 5 months, great support (its a one man team but he seems to be awake 24/7). I was sceptical about buying from them cause the site looked dodgy but. They proved themselves to me many times, even down to assistance with a php error that had nothing to do with them. I heard about them through SCN.net.au who was using commonacre and having a lot of drama with them. Bottom line - not all hosts fail if they dont show an address and Shoutserv = scamers - never got my 59 bux back >.<.....
It may be a security issue with the DATACENTER. But it is not a security issue with a web host who provide hosting on a leased server. MasterServers: Your First Day, First Post : about shoutserv!!! ASH ?????

Ahh yes get scammed so do something illegal yourself. This forum never ceases to amaze me. Oh and those facilities you listed do list their locations or will give you them. Considering Equinix, SAVVIS, ThePlanet at least all offer co-location or space in their numerous facilities.
i dont look at it as doing something illegal, i look at it as, how say.... Vengance... I guess i got my money back in the price it would had cost them for bandwidth. Can you point out where their addresses are? simple browsing I didnt see them... Perhaps you need to go in depth to find, but not many people do, they see the phone number up top of page like the planet and call up and ask for info or the address. I know these facilities do give out their datacenter addresses to customers becauswe they rent out confrence rooms and allow you to manage your own co-location server. (you wouldnt be able to do this without being there). Plus simply saying the location like "Sydney, Australia" is one thing but that is not an address. It would be mesmerizing if all hosts would let us know their locations like this so that we know weather or not we are buying eas coast/west coast or north/south or india or where ever... i didnt see such a thing on shoutserv, which has anyone noticed... is down right now? so much for 99.9% uptimes...

But they gladly give things like office locations right on their site. But I know they're gladly give you the physical location if you're a customer.
