I'm just saying what my customer is telling me. But the server load does go high, and the sites do slow down. It has improved slightly, but its still slow.

 

Only took me 5 seconds to load the shoutserv page right now.

 

server is very bad and i cant never connect to my ftp since about 48h now.
no replay from support so far.
and this is not the first time, it's allway slow.
i do not recomend this host

 

The sites have been unresponsive all day.

Edit: I finally got into my cPanel, and i finally got to the Server Status page. Here's what i find.

Server Load 46.38 (4 cpus)
Memory Used 80.9 %
Swap Used 75.38 %

I just thought i would inform you of this, in here, since it is impossible to submit a ticket.

 

their uptime is 97.931% with only 5 outages. you would think there was more

It seems okay every time i've checked it. 24% is a little high as well, but whatever, as long as it works efficiently.

I just can't believe they ever let proxies in the site in the first place.

 

That depends what it classify as an outage. It it can connect to the server it doesn't call it an outage, outthough the server may be overloaded enough so websites don't load it still may not see it as an outage.

 

24% of ram is fine for a server. What you want to be scared of is when the ram usage is very high 80's and server load is 2x that of the # of cpu's. Once a lot of ram is being used a server will use the hard drives which are very slow for ram. RAM usage is on the drives is also known as swap so you see a high amount of it being used along with a high server load you got a problem. This will cause pages to take ages to load which is never good.

97.931% uptime comes out to over 21 hours of down time over the course of 30 days. If you don't think that's a lot then you probably have never used any reliable hosts which hold between 99.9% (45mins downtime per month) and 99.99% (4.5 mins of downtime per month) of uptime per month.

 

This is also a new server. We are working out all of the problems. Just like every other host does.

 

yeah i used sucky hosting in the past. my old hosts uptime was like 94.2% at one point.

I don't know what you've done to the server, but its been faster than it has lately.
