Shoutcast hosting

    Im just wondering wether or not to purchase a WHMsonic license to allow me to host and sell shoutcast hosting. Im just interested to know if there is actually any market for shoutcast hosting at the moment and if anyone would actually be interestedi n purcahsing it.

    Hi Josh,

    Never been in that part of the business myself, so haven't done a whole lot of research on that market, but I know there used to be somewhat of a demand. We are actually starting to see more free Shoutcast hosts, that only do Shoutcast...not web hosting or anything, so that would lead me to believe that there is still a decent market out there.

    If you market it and don't have to charge a fee per customer that breaks the bank, then I would be willing to bet you will get some clients from it. We get a few requests a week for it, but nothing that has made us jump yet :)

    For streaming you need at least VPS with much BW included

    I am aware that Shoutcast is a bandwidth heavy program, Im a internet DJ my self and know how much bandwidth is usually needed ;)
