Shouldn't we all take care of it?

I really hate to be a whistle blower but seems like sex (porno) oriented sites getting into our network.

Just looked through Google's cache pages and found several very much suspicious ones with ad network links.

    Please see www.ugolokinvestora.com/phone.pdf

I saved it so you can take a look and decide for yourself.

It's not about my overreacting or panicking but this issue will eventually undermine great benefits of coop. It won't take very long for Google to penalize many of us.

I think we all should be interested in maintaining standards set for
    coop network.

SSuch sites should be filtered out from the coop. But how? I suppose this can be very time consuming task. Freelance moderators?

that's tough to administer because the domain is allaboutpoetry.com

It depends on where this coop member points his ads to - if they are safe we are safe

Having our links on this site is not the bad stuff (otherwise we can damage our competitors)

It's what we are linking out to that matters (and shaun vets all ads)

But, it's sneaky though - I say ban them

After my thread yesterday I took some time to check things out and there are adult sites getting in. This could really spoil a great idea. I've nothing against adult webmasters many run both adult and non adult and understand the importance of not mixing the two.

Does it matter if people add the ads to porno sites and then run ads for a different site? What harm can it do?

Presumably what you care about is that you don't want to send your visitors to adult sites! I've not yet seen an ad such as this.

Perhaps Shawn could code a spam-report form into the admin area. Then when the same base URL gets N complaints, an e-mail could automatically be fired to Shawn to have a look and ban if needed. This would be the least-time consuming way for him and would give us a place to voice our concerns with the possible results of direct action (as oppose to just putting it in the forum where Shawn might well or not get round to read it).

There are going to be some changes this week that hepefully will take care of it by forcing everything to be looked at closer.
