Shouldn't CPC on the first ad be higher?

    Hi everybody.

How can it be that the leaderboard at the bottom of the page gets a CPC of 0.17 while the 300x250 above the fold only gets 0.09 to 0.11 per click.
=> Tested on about 2 million page views, so it's not just a weired coincidence.

Both ads are image and text enabled and even the colors are the same.
And the ad on top is loaded first in the html.

Shouldn't the higher paying ads show up in the first ad?

    Am I missing something?
    Thanx.
    m.

Beats me. I had a footer ad that normally makes about 50c a day CPM (rarely gets clicks so its all CPM ads) get an $8 click the other day, which was surprising. Obviously some advertiser just put an ad on that was *that* good ...

Maybe that certain ad was appealing to more people in your audience (traffic)?
