I am wondering if it is better to submit blog posts to article sites (possibly hundreds giving hundreds of backlinks), or to keep my content unique and only on my site? I am keen to know what you all think as I suspect there would be good arguments that could be made for both. My blog site is in my sig.
Submit articles....BUT unique articles related to your blog. Don't submit your posts as articles. Submitting articles is a good way to get backlinks as well for visitors but imo it's best to have unique content on your blog.
I don't think you should use you blog posts as articles, better to keep you blog unique and at the same time make any article submissions you post unique too.. The main benefit of an article directory is that readers will be able to click through to your website after they are done reading your submitted content. And if you provide good information, you will more than likely begin to pick up plenty of regular readers.
Thanks for the responses. Do you think it would be better to manually submit to higher-ranked article sites, or use an automated submission service, or both?
I personally would choose manual submission to keep as much control over formatting ect as possible.. Much importance is placed on article directories for back links and rightly so but not everyone uses these directories for content for their own sites many poeple are just seeking relevant information. An article could be someones first impression of your website/business or whatever. so from this prospective layout and format are important... anyway im rambling on here.. I prefer manual submission.
I agree that submitting articles is a great source of backlinks and traffic. Articles could be made of your blog posts, but should be different to keep your blog unique.
I say submit your articles. Though if your doing it for a blog I would not post blog posts. Also when you post articles make sure that they are alfabetically and gramatically correct. Just like what uglyboy said sometimes your article gives the first impression of your site.
