Should you submit only to article directories?

I want to ask you which are the best places to submit own articles for link building(other than the regular article directories)

Also plz tell me where can i create public profile pages with linback to my websites

Social bookmarking sites are good for creating profiles like digg,blinklist,propeller,squidoo,hubpages

 

There are hundreds of sites that you can submit your article. Look at relevancy!
