Should you get an infraction if...

I was just wondering if you had a thread but you thought it is not the best place for it (If I put a thread in service - content creation) but I thought that because the articles are already completed and in bulk that I would put it in content. So If I posted on the thread in services:

mod: please close thread, moved to a better section of forum...

If I made the thread in content and just recently said: Close thread please...

Does this really deserve an infraction? If I was infracted for duplicate thread when I asked for it to be closed.

    Thanks

This didn't happen to me but I am just wondering because I want to know the best way of moving a thread, whether it be ask to close other and make it elsewhere or wait for the close. Thanks again!

The best way to get a thread moved is to use the report a bad post feature and ask that thread be moved.

Whenever you request the MODs to close a thread - they Close it for you and thats it ... wherez the question of an infraction??

    Whereas...

If you want to move the thread request the MODs to do it for you - instead of closing it in one section and creating another "similar" thread in some other section..

Yep report the post and get it moved to the section which is more appropriate.

Don't repost in another section. Just use report bad post feature and ask to have thread moved to appropriate section.
