    All social networks have different purposes. Facebook helps you reach multiple niches, and so does Twitter. MySpace might suit the art and music crowd more. It's become more of a specialized network now, at least in my opinion.

    I've heard good reports about facebook targeted ads. This means that the ads are seen by the right people.

    yeah, facebook for me as well! I just want to add though that whats works good for me and my personality might be different then somebody elses. My Space is a untapped resource and with some optimization I know marketers that are doing very well with just myspace alone.

    Facebook is good for everything except adult stuff like p0rn.

    Myspace is only for music marketing. Facebook can be used for a variety of niches nowadays though. It all depends on what you are trying to promote.

    I would use Facebook, twitter, and Google+ if its more of a personalized site like personal training or a personal informative blog that youre a specialist or would like to be a specialist in. For websites where you are selling a affiliate produce, you may not want to personalize it.

    Either way though, I don't think you can ever go wrong by "socializing" your websites. Also, Google loves actual people, not some nameless, faceless website. I'm pretty sure it gives precedence to Google+ people compared to non-google+ people

    MySpace was popular years ago, now it is no doubt Facebook. In addition to that LinkedIn is also an excellent place for social media.
    I have by far had the best success from LinkedIn.

    Serious, Facebook and LinkedIn. LinkedIn if you're marketing locally, I know loads of people who've had some excellent results from it.
