Should you autosubmit sites to search engines?

Just get backlinks, don't bother with actually submitting it

Just get a backlink to your site from anywhere and that is good enough for your site to be crawled, you dont even need to submit to any search engine, of course, if you are particular about it then there is a form for the same with google, just search for it and submit your url there.

 

Actually, submitting your site for indexing to major search engines is as essential as building backlinks. Submitting a sitemap, specifically, allows the spiders to crawl every page of your site. It really doesn't take much time specially if you already have a previous submitted site. Moreover, the data the search engine provides (think Google Analytics) is very useful, and they are made freely available.

Probably not a good idea to submit your sites automatically to the search engines, the more natural you make it seem the more natual it will be and it will be better for you.
