Link baiting (or linkbaiting) is the latest buzz word in the SEO world and has come to be the preferred way to natural link building.
my problem is how it really work ?
thanx and regards ,Any advice will be appreciated.:)

    It works on this way:

you do research popular topic what people search using adwords keyword tool, wordtracker and google trends

then you compile really good article that cover the topic

    when people start coming

they will start to link that article across the net...

examples are that wordpress themes blogposts, lists of something,...

    etc
80 wordpress free premium like themes

i have used links on a template - it failed.Google will not consider your back links if it looks automated. So if you are planning to use a widget to build links you are in danger [especially if the widget becomes viral].Thus it is always better to use a link bait [write a good article and post it on your blog] as it gives a natural profile of link building. This is from my own experience.I just wasted 30 USD for buying the link on the template :(

thanx anyway but I don't think I get myself clear enough
I mean I do know writing a provocative or controversial article or blog post could irritate people enough that they want to write about you and thus link to you. Likewise, fun, interesting widgets that spread virally can have html links included in them that link back to your site. Vast numbers of high quality links can be acquired in a short space of time. Linkbait methods can help sites rank well in highly competitive market places. Like most link building techniques, a spammy approach is tempting. If an html link in a widget has nothing to do with the sites that the widget is on, or that the widget is about, Google has been known to penalize sites by de-indexing them.
I want to know it is had to be bad? Is it a blackhat or so ?
anyone plz answer me clearly thanx in advance
