Hello, Yes i know the purpose of Competitive Ad Filter and I have used it on my adsense account. Well now i just thought of one thing, doesn't adsense place the highest paying ads on your site, the advertisers bids for the keywords right? Then it shouldn't really make a difference if you use the Competitive Ad Filter or not, since if all those urls in your list are MFA sites, they wont display ads on your site if you have other advertisers who pays more. Am i right or have i missed it somewhere?
You should use the filter if you see ads that are not related to your site at all, and most likely your users won't click them.
Well lets say you have really bad advertisers which pays very low, then perhaps one or two from your filter list pays more?
You just have to make tests dude... Try it for one or 2 weeks...Blocks all those ads you think are low paying ones and see what Adsense shows up instead...
Ads that show on your site is not necessary to be a highest paying ads because GG use many condition to choose the ads to show on your page such as %CTR and much more. which ad have high %CTR it will be show first and almost high %CTR ads is pay very low. you should filter the ads from big company like amazon.com out because they have high %CTR (upto your history data). and all MFA site also pay low. First thing you should install click tracker software like a adlogger to record the click data first and then see which site have a highest clicked rate 1-2-3. then goto that site and see is it MFA or not. if yes filter them out from your site. Good luck guy,
I completely agree. I use the Ad Filter very sparingly. Google is supposed to display the highest paying ads so limiting the ads shown is limiting your potential earnings. If a site comes up all the time and has absolutely nothing to do with your site, then I would add that one site, but watch the earnings for a week. If they fall, I take the site out of the Filter. On most of my sites I don't even worry about it.
mfa sites are giving adver. for nonrelevant keywords with your site . i think you must use this filter for this
