Don't be afraid to do split testing and experiment with new things. There's always room for improvement. As with putting up Adsense on landing pages, I'd go and put it somewhere below the fold. Personally only 3 - 5% of my traffic converts, and for those who don't convert at least they can exit through my adsense.

But it's a different case every time so go ahead and try removing adsense or changing the placement and see if your conversion increase. Then you can judge whether it's worth it to have Adsense on your page or not.

But I think we must not use AdSense... regarding this "for those who don't convert at least they can exit through my adsense." I think thats the problem.. maybe if there was no adsense then they would have generated a lead....

    Hmmm.

We do not recommend Adsense on a Landing page. Adsense ads on a page can make the page look like an "adsense spampage"

    We never mix the two.

I would say no to Adsense. Anything that distracts or moves a visitor away from your Call to Action is pure poison to your revenue.

    Absolutely.

"Leakage" is a problem, keep the visitor concentrated on what you are offering.

Think about a DHTML popup to something else, only if they decide to close the window without visiting your sponsor.

Here is a quick update regarding this....

I started two campaigns... one used an affiliate lading page and the other one used affiliate link and adsense ads....

    Surprisingly....

I paid PPC Charges of over $13 for the affiliate landing page (the one with no adsense) and made NO SALE AT ALL

But I spend just $12.49 for the one with adsense ads and affiliate links... I made a sale and it genereated adsense clicks too... Got over $36 on a $12.49 investment

Guess it must depend on the product.

We never use adsense on landing pages, "leakage" is scary.

You cant really say much with just that small amount give it more time.. I have websites that in the 1st day of launch have a ROI of 400%, but at the end of the month the roi is sometimes negative... Time will tell.

As far as I'm concerned adsense doesnt belong to a landing page, it will lower your CR a lot, and each click it will only pay you 10% of what you make out of a lead...
