Should we really care about Y10K?

I am sure you guys should be aware of the Y2K problem for which over 300 billion dollars was spent.

The next similar problem is yet to arrive in 2038 (aka Unix Millennium bug). This bug is applicable not only to Unix systems but also to other software systems that store time in 32 bit integer. Finding a solution for this bug makes sense but is it really necessary to care about the Y10K problem (year 10,000)?

    More info about Y10K >> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_10,000_problem

We dont even know if the human race would survive until then....

No because people already have to worry about the end of the world in 2012. Maybe we'll worry about this one after when we need something else to worry about.
